As Sales Ledger Manager, you’ll oversee a busy accounts receivable function, guiding a team to ensure timely cash collection, safeguarding revenue, and maintaining strong, scalable processes as the organisation continues to expand.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and support a sales ledger / accounts receivable team
- Supervise high-volume invoicing and cash posting activities
- Handle complex billing issues, including credit notes and reconciliations
- Implement effective credit control measures to reduce overdue debt and optimise cash flow
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams across various locations
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and efficiency
- Assist with acquisitions and system integrations from a sales ledger standpoint
- Liaise with systems teams to support a smooth month-end process
- Deliver reporting on debtor trends, risks, and collection performance
- Play a part in broader finance transformation initiatives
What they’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing or supervising a sales ledger, credit control, or transactional finance team
- Solid knowledge of accounts receivable and end-to-end cash collection processes
- Comfortable working collaboratively across departments
- Strong Excel capability (including pivots, lookups, and data handling)
- Experience using finance systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-volume environment with tight deadlines
- Experience supporting business change or acquisitions is a plus
